Star Trek Was Robbed!

That's right, I said it! Star Trek was robbed.  Out of the 4 categories they were nominated for at the Academy Awards the movie only won ONE! A single Oscar statue.

To prove to you they should've taken home all of them here's a list of awesome things that could've only happened only in Star Trek, per the category they lost in!

Visual Effects

Winner - Avatar

Oh, excuse me, didn't the passengers in the space ship at the beginning of the film have to go to sleep for their long journey?  Hmmm, let me think.  Nope, would never happen in Star Trek, thanks to a little something called WARP DRIVE!

Sound Editing

Winner - The Hurt Locker

All those people that died in the movie from gun fire wouldn't have in Star Trek because of an gadget known as the phaser.  It shoots a beam of energy that can be controlled and set to different levels, including stun (which just knocks your enemy out for a little while).

Sound Mixing

Winner - The Hurt Locker

The film is about an explosive ordnance disposal team right?  Well, the job would've been a lot easier in Star Trek because they could've just beamed away the bomb or IED using the transporter.
